A video has recently circulated on social media claiming to show the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan, shared under the caption "LoC Situation" in the context of recent tensions between the two countries.

Upon investigation, the Rumor Scanner team has confirmed that the circulated video does not depict any recent event along the India-Pakistan Line of Control. Rather, it is an old video showing a conflict at a military base in Myanmar.

During the verification process, a report published on February 18, 2024, on the website of Myanmar-based media outlet Democratic Voice of Burma, titled “In Myebon, the military council members set fire to their own camp and fled”, was found. Visuals from the report closely resemble scenes in the widely circulated video.

According to the report, in Myebon Township of Myanmar’s Rakhine State, the Arakan Army (AA) News and Information Service announced that on that evening, soldiers burned down a military council barracks near the village of Htin Khraw and fled to the Western Regional Military Headquarters.

Additionally, the same video was posted by the Voice of Myanmar Facebook page, a media outlet operating from Myanmar. Similar images were also found in reports from other national media sources in the country. This confirms that the footage does not relate to the recent India-Pakistan conflict.

Therefore, the video falsely presented as showing the current situation at the India-Pakistan Line of Control is, in fact, an old video of conflict at a military base in Myanmar.
